Date - 1845
Description - A striking Victorian silver salt spoon in the classic fiddle and thread pattern, complete with thread detailing to the heel and a richly gilded bowl—applied originally to protect the silver from the corrosive effects of salt. The terminal is engraved with a heraldic device, adding distinction and a sense of provenance. A handsome and well‑crafted example of 19th‑century table silver.
Condition - This spoon is in clean, very good condition
Hallmark - The spoon has a manufacturer's cypher for Francis Higgins together with London date cypher for 1845
