Date - 1839

Description - A striking Victorian silver salt ladle in the classic fiddle and thread pattern, complete with a thread heel and a richly gilded bowl to protect the silver from the corrosive effects of salt. The terminal is engraved with a heraldic device, adding distinction and a sense of provenance. A handsome and well‑crafted piece of 19th‑century table silver.

Condition - This spoon is in clean, very good condition. There is rubbing to the heraldic engraving

Hallmark - The spoon has a manufacturer's cypher for 'George Adams' together with London date cypher for 1839. Also, there is a journeyman's cypher adjacent to 'GA'
