The piece is completed with a traditional plain fiddle‑pattern handle, creating a beautifully balanced contrast between ornament and simplicity. Condition - This slice is in very good condition with only two very minor 'dings'

Hallmark - This has clear hallmarks with cypher for David Darling & James Bell and a Newcastle date cypher for 1785
