Description - A lovely, very high‑quality sterling silver sauce or cream ladle, fitted with a neatly formed pouring lip and decorated with fine detailing to both the handle terminal and the bowl insert. The craftsmanship is unmistakably refined, with the clean, confident lines and careful finishing associated with Harrods’ silver workshop.
This ladle was produced under the direction of Richard Burbridge, who served as Managing Director — and later Chairman — of Harrods. The Harrods silver workshop, located at Trevor Square, London, became synonymous with exceptional quality and was closely linked with the prestige of the world‑famous luxury store.
A beautifully made and highly practical piece of George VI period silver, combining elegance, provenance, and everyday usefulness.
