Description - A truly stunning piece — a Victorian sterling silver petit fours server of exceptional quality, richly worked in the intricate, almost exuberant detailing for which Martin & Hall were so admired. The surface is alive with ornament, yet beautifully balanced, giving the piece tremendous visual impact without ever feeling heavy.
The handle terminal features a vacant cartouche to the reverse, while the front bears a finely engraved monogram, adding a personal historical touch without detracting from the overall design.
A superb example of high‑Victorian silverwork: decorative, skilfully executed, and wonderfully expressive.

Hallmark - This server has clear hallmarks with manufacturer's cypher for Richard Martin and Ebenezer Hall together with a Sheffield date cypher for 1871
