Description - A very well‑made silver sifter spoon, crafted with an oval, flat‑bottomed bowl neatly pierced with crisp, well‑defined perforations. The handle terminal bears an engraved heraldic crest, while the reverse is inscribed “Charles Kingsley.”
Although the name corresponds to the Victorian novelist and poet Charles Kingsley (1819–1875), the date of the spoon may indicate a lter ownership. The inscription may also relate to an earlier family member or another individual of the same name, but it remains an appealing point of interest for collectors.
