Description - A fine and rare pair of miniature cast silver sugar nips, dating to the mid‑18th‑century George III period. Their design is wonderfully simple: a plain shaft, single pin hinge, and finger rings with single ring cushions, all executed with the crisp, honest workmanship characteristic of early English silver. Miniature nips of this type are highly unusual, surviving only in small numbers.

A robust, well‑made early pair, tactile in the hand and quietly decorative, with the pleasing solidity expected of cast construction. Increasingly scarce in this quality, they make an excellent addition to any collection of 18th‑century silver or an evocative accessory for the period tea table.
